Six Flags Over Texas in The American Dream City will soon unveil its all-new 4D ride titled "Justice League: Battle for Metropolis."
The state-of-the-art dark ride will allow guests to become members of the Justice League Reserve Team and engage in a full-sensory experience as they battle alongside famous DC Comics superheroes like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern against The Joker and Lex Luthor.
Battle for Metropolis features six-passenger vehicles, 18 screens, lifelike animatronics, cutting edge special effects and 4D video.
Today, April 1, the City received a construction tour to survey the progress being made on the new ride with President Steve Martindale.
"It's the only one of its kind in North America. We're quite proud of where it is and where it's going to be once it opens, " said Martindale.
You can watch and read Steve's American Dream Story that debuted last month on our website.
Justice League: Battle for Metropolis will open at the end of May this year.
Each car will provide guests with their own personal gaming experience, allowing them to fight off 4D villains and other items with a "stun blaster. " Riders will compete against friends and family members to earn the highest score.
The ride vehicle can also spin guests 360 degrees during the approximately 3-minute attraction.
