The 5th Annual Art on the Greene Art Festival returns to Richard Greene Linear Park in Arlington on its new dates of May 20-22.
Art on the Greene features 100 national, regional and local artists showcasing and selling their work in one of 14 different categories. Stroll through the park and see booth after booth of one-of-a-kind works in ceramic, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture and wood.
Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and sit on the lawn to enjoy a weekend of live performances from eight national, regional and local bands. This year's event will be headlined by Austin Blues musician Carolyn Wonderland at 8 p.m. Saturday. Austin Blues Funk band Mingo Fishtrap returns to Art on the Greene and closes out the event with their performance at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Come hungry! Art on the Greene will have a great lineup of food vendors once again with local restaurants and regional food vendors that will be on hand. Sistah's Mississippi style BBQ, Grease Monkey Burgers, Later Gater fried gator are just a few. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase.
No outside food or drinks allowed into the park.
This year's event will feature a special dedication at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21. Join the City of Arlington, the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department and Art on the Greene Art Festival for the Entertainment District Sculpture Trail dedication ceremony. Nine sculptures will be official dedicated with a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by an opportunity to meet the sculptures.
Art on the Greene is family and dog friendly (all dogs must be on a leash and have a calm temperament around other people and dogs.)
Event hours are: 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
