The National Weather Service has issued another Flash Flood Watch for Arlington from 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 13.

The National Weather Service wants Arlington residents to be prepared for the possibility of flash flooding and severe weather.

Saturday, May 9, 2015 is Day 3 of what now appears to be a 5-day severe weather sequence for North/Central Texas.

We will have a significant risk of severe weather today and Sunday, particularly over North Texas. A continued risk of severe weather will exist on Monday.

Virtually the same weather elements are in place today that have been present since Thursday. As such, all forms of hazardous weather, including flash flooding, isolated tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds will be possible.

A Tornado Watch is in effect for Tarrant County until this evening and Flash Flood Warnings are in effect as well.

Right now, the National Weather Service believes Arlington will get a break from widespread severe weather Tuesday and Wednesday.

The latter part of next week may bring a return to unsettled weather and the potential for additional severe thunderstorms.
