City residents can learn more about the Arlington Animal Services Center and ask questions when the Coffee with the Manager series kicks off Saturday, Nov. 1 at 9:00 a.m.

Visit with the shelter manager, tour the shelter or adopt a new pet.

"A warm cup of coffee and friendly conversation can open minds," said Chris Huff, Arlington Animal Services Center manager. "I learned from my grandmother and thought I could share with the animal loving community we have.

Huff says she uses the coffee to focus on the shelter's services to the community, then allows as many general questions as the crowd may have.

Huff expects the greatest success of the program to be the organic interaction between residents and shelter staff.
