New transfer requests for Arlington ISD students will begin at 2 p.m. Monday, March 2, using a streamlined online process through infosnap, the online pre-registration site used by the district before the 2014-2015 school year.
In order to request a transfer, parents/guardians MUST have a valid email address.
Parents/guardians can request transfers online on a first-come, first-served basis from 2 p.m. Monday, March 2, through 3 p.m. Friday, March 6; transfers will be processed in this order, according to AISD board policy:
- In-district employees' children
- In-district non-employees' children
- Out-of-district employees' children
- Out-of-district, city of Arlington, non-employees' children
- Out-of-district, non-city of Arlington, non-employees' children
Parents/guardians must fill out transfer requests online. If you do not have Internet access, computers will be available for use at all AISD campuses. Transfer requests will be time-stamped, and you will receive an email confirmation once submitted. Please print a copy of your submission confirmation for your records.
A separate online new transfer request must be filled out for each student. You may choose up to three schools to which you would like your child to transfer. The following schools are closed for transfers for the 2015-2016 school year: Anderson, Corey (kindergarten only), Crouch, Knox, Moore, Remynse, Roark, Thornton, Timber Oaks (new school for 2015-2016) and Wood elementaries. All other campuses are open for transfer requests. Numbers of openings by grade will not be available prior to the transfer process opening.
Parents/guardians will be notified via email during the week of March 23 of their transfer status. Please check your email for communication regarding your online application. If your message is not in your inbox, please check your spam or junk email folders.
Parents/guardians have 48 hours from the time the email is sent to log in, accept the transfer assignment and submit payment (if required). After 48 hours, the Arlington ISD will offer all choices not selected to other students.
You may pay the transfer fee online with a credit card or bank transfer or by cash or paper check in person at the campus. If you pay by cash or paper check, you will accept the transfer assignment online and print the Submission Confirmation page to take to the campus for payment. Payments must be made by the end of the 48-hour period.
If there is not an opening at your requested campus(es), your child's name will automatically move to a waiting list.
Beginning March 30 through May 1, the new transfer application system will be open to take names for the waiting list only. In August 2015, schools will process names from waiting lists if additional openings are identified.
