Make plans to attend Arlington's annual Aging Well Expo next month to learn important tips and information about how to live your best life here in The American Dream City.
The Aging Well Expo is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 21 at the Arlington Convention Center, 1200 Ballpark Way. This free event, a coordinated effort of the City of Arlington, Tarrant County, and many community sponsors, is expected to feature more than 125 vendors, fitness demonstrations, health screenings, housing resources, information on volunteering in the community, educational presentations and more.
Participants can learn more about health topics such as the latest medical advances in total hip and knee replacement, how to stay active after 50, and long-term care planning. Other sessions will spotlight senior housing options, affordable travel destinations, cyber security and the City's new Via on-demand rideshare service.
This year's keynote speaker is Dave Lieber, known by many as The Dallas Morning News Watchdog. Lieber will help expo participants become super-consumers by offering tips and secret maneuvers during his talk, "Watchdog Nation: Bite Back When Businesses and Scammers Do You Wrong."
Participants who pre-register for the Aging Well Expo by 5 p.m. March 7 will receive a free lunch.
