As the temperatures continue to drop, people are starting to think about the holidays. There are several great holiday events happening in Arlington during November, and many are supporting good causes. Here's a brief list of the some of the festivities.
Junior League's Holiday Magic - Nov. 8-10
Head on over the Arlington Convention Center for the Junior League of Arlington's Holiday Magic Market, the organization's biggest fundraiser of the year. Don't miss the always popular Ladies Fashion Show and Luncheon on Friday. There will be a Holiday Gift Market, children's parties and movie night for the entire family. Have your child meet Santa and make a homemade craft! Admission prices vary for each event. All proceeds from the events are given to Arlington-area nonprofit organizations. Arlington Turkey Trot - Nov. 23
Kick off a great Thanksgiving Day with a fun race, run, jog or walk...or crawl. Register today for the 4th annual Arlington Turkey Trot, a fun event featuring a timed and untimed 5k plus a "Puffin' for Stuffin' One Mile Run." The start line is located on the north side of Rangers Ballpark on Road to Six Flags. Net proceeds will benefit The Shoe Bank, a nonprofit dedicated to recycling used shoes to create comfortable, dependable footwear for men, women and children.

Six Flags Holiday in the Park - Nov. 23 - Jan. 6
Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas is filled with enchanting experiences to help create those special family fun outings during this magical time of the year. The Park's breathtaking winter wonderland features a variety of delightful and interactive activities to help capture the holiday spirit. 3rd Annual Christkindl Market - Nov. 29-Dec. 22
The Arlington Christkindl Market is quickly becoming one of the City's top holiday traditions. Try some authentic Gluhwein, snap a photo with an Angel, or find a handcrafted German gift at the third annual Arlington Christkindl Market near Rangers Ballpark. Don't forget about the great German food. Admission and parking are free.
