On Monday, Nov. 11, the Arlington Great Southwest Arlington Rotary Club will present a very special observance honoring the duty, sacrifice and service of U.S. veterans of all wars at Veterans Park, 3600 West Arkansas Lane. The program, which features a special tribute to World War II veterans, is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
Tarrant County Criminal Court Judge Brent Carr, accompanied by the Cowtown Music Club, will perform special patriotic music. Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck will be in attendance to read a special a Veterans Day proclamation.
Rear Admiral James A. Lair, U.S. Navy (Ret.), who served more than 200 combat missions over Vietnam, will deliver the keynote address. A complimentary luncheon will be served immediately following the ceremony at the park pavilion.
