Interstate 30 Main Lane, Access Ramp Closures Set for This Week As Part of Interchange Project
New lane changes have been announced this week as part of the $233 million Interstate 30/SH 360 Interchange Project.
I-30 TEXpress Lanes
Beginning in October through fall 2020, the westbound Interstate 30 TEXpress lane west of SH 161 will be closed. TEXpress lane traffic will be directed onto the I-30 westbound general main lanes west of SH 161. TEXpress lane traffic may re-enter near Great Southwest Parkway. The entrance near Great Southwest Parkway will be closed nightly during construction of a long-term temporary westbound exit to Baird Farm Road.
The eastbound I-30 TEXpress lane access near Center Street will be closed. TEXpress lane traffic will enter at SH 161. Access from Baird Farm Road will be closed nightly during construction of a long-term, temporary eastbound entrance from Baird Farm Road.
Interstate 30 Main Lanes
Continuously, from 9 p.m. October 7 to noon October 9, the westbound Interstate 30 right, outside lane will be closed for construction of temporary pavement. Closure times will be adjusted for special events in the area.
Interstate 30 Access Ramps
Continuously, from 9 p.m. October 7 to noon October 9, the westbound I-30 access ramp from SH 360/Six Flags Drive will be closed. Traffic will be detoured on eastbound I-30 to turnaround at SH 161 and return on westbound I-30. Closure times will be adjusted for special events in the area.
SH 360 Main Lanes
Overnight on October 4, the southbound right outside lane of SH 360 will be closed between Lamar Boulevard and Six Flags Drive for asbestos remediation.
Overnight on October 5, the northbound right outside lane of SH 360 will be closed between Randol Mill Road and Six Flags Drive for asbestos remediation.
SH 360 Frontage Roads
Daily, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. October 10 and 11, the SH 360 southbound frontage road left lane between Six Flags Drive and Randol Mill Road will be closed for temporary pavement construction.
During the day, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. October 12, various lanes of SH 360 southbound frontage road between Six Flags Drive and Randol Mill Road will be closed for striping.
Local Streets
Six Flags Drive between Copeland Road and SH 360: During the day, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on October 11, the eastbound and westbound left lanes of Six Flags Drive will be closed for construction of temporary pavement.
During the day, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. October 13, various eastbound and westbound lanes of Six Flags Drive will be closed for pavement striping.
Lamar Boulevard/Ave H: From now until later this fall, westbound and eastbound Lamar Boulevard/Ave H will be reduced to one lane approaching SH 360 for construction of a new southbound frontage road intersection.
Avenue F: From now through summer 2017, eastbound and westbound Ave F traffic will be reduced to one lane each direction and shifted to the south side of Ave F for reconstruction of Ave F.
Permanent: Westbound Copeland Road from Six Flags Drive to just east of Ballpark Way has been permanently closed. Only eastbound Copeland Rd traffic will be allowed between Ballpark Way and Six Flags Dr.
Beginning Oct 13, Copeland Rd between Six Flags Dr and the SH 360 southbound frontage road will be closed.
Continuously: Eastbound Copeland Road between Ballpark Way and Six Flags Drive has been reduced to one lane for general construction.
