Arlington has almost completely recovered from the high-wind storm last week. As of Monday afternoon, approximately 50 residents were without power, down significantly from the original 36,650 people without electricity immediately following the storm Oct. 2. Oncor expects to have all power restored by 7 p.m. Monday.

As reported earlier, all Arlington ISD campuses have power and are open for classes, and Public Works has cleared all debris from major roadways and continues removal operations. Power has also been restored to all traffic signals. Arlington Police and Fire departments are continuing to look for any storm-related damage and any unmet needs of residents.

If you have storm debris that need to be disposed, crews from Republic Services will pick up unbundled tree limbs and fence panels curbside through Oct. 18 on your normal trash collection day. Please make sure the limbs are not longer than 4 feet.

Residents can also bring storm debris (tree limbs and fence panels only) free of charge at the Arlington Landfill through Saturday, Oct. 11. During this time, no coupons are required; however, residents will be asked to show proof of residency with a current driver's license or water bill.
