City of Arlington personnel are working around the clock to ensure the city recovers from Thursday's storm that swept through the area.
Here's a look at the City of Arlington's emergency response efforts:
- 9,967 Arlington residents are without power (as of 8:00 p.m.), which is down from 36,650 on Thursday night.
- Public Works has cleared all debris from roadways. As of 7:00 p.m. Saturday, approximately 1700 cubic yards of tree debris have been hauled to the landfill.
- The City has five rovers covering the city for severe weather needs.
- Police officers continue to provide traffic management support at two intersections without power.
- One Arlington ISD campus is without power, which is down from 35 on Friday morning
- Arlington Parks and Recreation Center announces the Dottie Lynn Recreation Center has power and will re-open Monday, October 6 at 8:00 a.m.
The City of Arlington would like to thank residents and business owners for being patient during the cleanup process. Though it will take some time to clear all of the storm-related debris, City crews and contractors are working together to ensure areas are back to normal.
