Elizabeth Rodriguez, senior for the Bowie High School girl's soccer team, has been selected as the City of Arlington's Student-Athlete of the Month for February.
When meeting this young dynamo, it's easy to see why Elizabeth is the unquestioned leader of the team.
Not only is she an avid student of the game, but she shares her story of overcoming a near career-ending concussion to inspire her teammates.
Rodriguez, who plans to be a physical therapist, currently carries a 3.9 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Ultimately, she'd like to attend Texas State in San Marcos to continue her academic and athletic goals.
