Largest Guitar Show Comes to Arlington

America's oldest, biggest and best consumer guitar show, Guitararlington 2013, is coming to the Arlington Convention Center. Check out new and vintage guitars, amps, banjos, mandolins, drums, violins, sound gears, records, accessories, and other parts from all over the world. Hours: Saturday, October 19, and Sunday, October 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. Adult admission is $15. Children eleven years of age and younger are free, if accompanied by an adult. Arlington Public Library Fall Crawl

This Saturday, put on your best costume and join Arlington residents for the Arlington Public Library Fall Crawl, from 5:00 - 11:00 p.m. People love the crawls presented by the Arlington Public Library Foundation, with fans coming from all over the D/FW Metroplex. Here is Saturday's schedule:

6:00 - 7:00 p.m.: Grease Monkey

7:00 - 8:00 p.m.: Old School Pizza and Suds

7:00 - 8:00 p.m.: Jimmy John's

8:00 - 9:00 p.m.: Twisted Root

9:00 - 10:00 p.m. J. Gilligans Bar and Grill

Final Weekend for Women of Baseball Exhibit at AMA

Fast-paced Volleyball Action in Arlington

Catch senior middle blocker Charmaine Whitmore and the rest of the UTA volleyball team battle South Alabama on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at College Park Center. Cheer on the Mavs, who are off to a strong start in 2013 and remain one of the better teams in the Sun Belt Conference. This non-stop action is perfect for all ages. Tickets are just $5.

"The Government Inspector" Comes to Arlington

If you want to see a good play, there's no need to head to Dallas or Fort Worth. Not when there's some fine talent performing right here in Arlington. UT Arlington's Maverick Theatre Company is presenting "The Government Inspector," a comic masterpiece of mistaken identity exposing the corruption of a Russian provincial town with biting hilarity. Performances are October 18-19 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for the general public and $7 for senior citizens, students and UT Arlington faculty/staff.
