Texas Rangers Fan Fest

Are you ready for America 's pastime to return to Globe Life Park in The American Dream City? If you are too excited to wait for Opening Day on April 10, head over to the Texas Rangers annual Fan Fest event this Saturday, January 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Globe Life Park on 1000 Ballpark Way. The event includes autograph sessions by current and former players, Rangers Q&A sessions featuring new Manager Jeff Banister, photo opportunities with current and former players. Weather permitting, fans will also be able to run the bases and bullpen toss. The Rangers Kid 's Zone will also be open along with free tours of the Rangers clubhouse and dugout. Food and beverages will be on sale at The Short Stop Grill, Captain Morgan Club, and other Ballpark concession stands. It 's definitely an event baseball fans and families won 't want to miss!

Six Flags Over Texas Spring 2015 Talent Auditions

Think you have what it takes to perform on the big stage at Six Flags Over Texas? The Entertainment Department is looking for a wide range of talent this Saturday, January 24. All participants must be at least 16 years of age and must fill out an online application. Six Flags Over Texas is looking for: Dancers (Jazz, Modern, and Lyrical), Singers (Pop, Broadway, Country and Gospel), Costume Characters and Radio Emcees. Registration for dancers, emcees and the character program starts at 9 a.m. with auditions beginning at 10 a.m. Singer registration starts at 11 a.m. with auditions getting underway at 12 p.m. The park is located at 2201 Road to Six Flags. A piano accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music in your key or you may use a CD accompaniment with no lead vocals on track. Star Gazing Event at O.S. Gray

Any astronomy lovers out there? Come and try out a variety of telescopes, look at visible planets and constellations with The Friends of O.S. Gray Natural Area at 2021 W. Abram St. in Arlington this weekend! Families will also have the opportunity to chat with brilliant astronomers from the Fort Worth Astronomical Society about astronomy and test out their equipment. Guests will also have the option to make S 'mores, drink hot chocolate, and roast hot dogs. You 're invited to bring your lawn chair and flashlight and wear your warm coat and gloves! This event runs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 24 and is free to attend. It could be postponed if there is cloudy or inclement weather.

Arlington Museum of Art Presents: Bruce Wood, A Retrospective

The Arlington Museum of Art now features a special exhibit featuring Fort Worth 's own Bruce Wood. Wood has been a driving force in the North Texas cultural community for decades. His latest venture, Bruce Wood Dance Project, sought to bring innovative, unconventional productions to North Texas audiences. This exhibit will explore his contributions to the world of dance, the cultural arts and the communities he grew up in. The Bruce Wood exhibit will be open to the public until Sunday, February 15. If you want to check it out this weekend, the Arlington Museum of Art is located in Downtown Arlington on West Main Street.
