Sylvia Anderson browsed the paintings and prints at Art on the Greene, looking for the perfect new addition to her home.

A little cold was not enough to deter the Fort Worth woman from attending the 2^nd annual art show at Richard Greene Linear Park in Arlington.

"There was no way I was going to miss this,' said Anderson, who also attended the show last year. "It is the best art show I've been to.'

Thousands of likeminded art lovers filled the park this weekend to listen to live music and check out sculptures, jewelry, paintings, photographs, sketches, ceramics and more.

More than 75 artists attended the show, which is nestled among shade trees and sculptures of Caelum Moor. The location . sandwiched between Cowboys Stadium to the west and Rangers Ballpark in Arlington to the east . helps boost the visibility of the show while providing easy access to festivalgoers.

Musical acts Mingo Fishtrap, blues singer Andrea Dawson and University of Texas at Arlington Jazz Orchestra were among the entertainers.

Selling handmade ceramic dinnerware, artists John and Barb Burnett, who own Burnett's Pottery in Colorado, said this is one of their favorite shows in the region.

"This is wonderful,' John Burnett said. "The music. The location. The atmosphere. You really can't beat this.'

"The crowd is starting to pick up because people don't want to miss out,' Barb Burnett added.

Artist Steve Moya started the festival last year after envisioning such an event in Arlington for years and hearing from numerous local artists who said they wanted a festival close to home. The inaugural event last year drew thousands to the park and became an instant must-attend for artists and buyers alike.

Blake Arnold of Dallas who heard about the show from a friend, attended this year to search for a birthday gift for his wife. Arnold was on the hunt for an original painting of a Texas scene scape.

"I'll definitely be back next year,' Arnold said. "The show has a nice neighborhood feel to it.'
