Thanks to an outpouring of community support, the step team at Arlington ISD's Goodman Elementary was able to raise the money needed to travel to Chicago for a national competition. While AISD was able to pay for transportation and lodging, the GES Steppers still needed money for food.

The GES Steppers, a hard-working crew, features fourth, fifth and sixth graders. They practice for two hours after school Monday through Thursday, and one hour after school on Friday. Their dedication has earned them an invitation to the National Step Team Championships. Now they are ready to bring a championship title back to Arlington.

The step team leaves April 9 and is expected to return April 12.
