Arlington, TX took center stage across the country earlier this week for the first-ever College Football Playoff National Championship at AT&T Stadium.

With an announced attendance of more than 85,000 people, The American Dream City hosted yet another nationally televised event.

This comes after the City and AT&T Stadium hosted the NCAA Men's Final Four in 2014, Super Bowl XLV in 2011 and Texas Rangers home playoff games at Globe Life Park in both 2010 and 2011.

The first CFP National Championship in Arlington is now the most watched event in cable television history. According to Nielsen, more than 33 million people watched Ohio State defeat Oregon, a 31 percent increase over last year's BCS title game.

AT&T Stadium and Arlington are now in preparations to host the 2015 Academy of Country Music Awards.

The 50th ACM Awards will be held on April 19, 2015 and will also feature a two-day outdoor music event leading up to the awards show on April 17-18 at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
