Across the city Tuesday night, neighbors united for a purpose: To celebrate the good work being done in their neighborhoods to keep them safe from crime.

Organizers and participants called National Night Out 2013 a huge success. Arlington recorded more than 143 registered neighborhood activities, a record for the city.
