The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood will open CATS 35th season of theatre FOR youth, BY youth! Directed by CATS favorite UTA theatre professor, Joe Chapa, this show will be a wild twist on the classic tale. Written by Mary Lynn Dobson, this is a Robin Hood you've never seen before!

It sure is hard to be humble if one is a swashbuckling, egocentric super-hero. But this gallant guy-in-green tries his best as he swaggers through The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood, a frantically funny, Monty Pythonesque retelling of the classic. This time around, the legendary legend, in his never-ending quest to aid the needy, encounters a lovely damsel-in-distress; an ever-scheming sheriff who would rather bowl a strike than hit a bull's-eye; a gold-hoarding, bad-guy monarch wannabe; and a band of spoon-wielding Merry Men with a collective IQ of six. Audiences will love this irreverent jaunt through Sherwood Forest!

The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood will play October 11-19, with performances on Fridays at 7:30pm and Saturdays at 2:30pm & 7:30pm. Ticket prices are: adults-$15.00; students, military, and seniors (ages 55+) - $12. Creative Arts Theatre & School is presenting the show at Mosaic, located at 817 W. Park Row, Arlington, TX 76013.
