Good Day, Mate! May I introduce myself? My name is Oliver and I am the chosen Dog of the Week for Arlington Animal Services. I'm a handsome young fellow estimated to be around 10 months old, and weigh a healthy 44 pounds. I'm expected to be a medium-sized dog when I am fully grown but right now, I'm still considered a 'pup'. Being an Australian Cattle Dog (mix), I quite enjoy the outdoor life. Spending time with my family is a priority, however if I had a family who loved to be outside...well, we would be a perfect match! My dream home would have a yard to play in, toys to chase and fetch, and lots of love and attention. I'm very attentive, and try really hard to mind my manners but you know how it is when you get the wiggles. Sometimes you just can't hold it in. That's why volunteers say I have lots and lots of energy. However, I really just enjoy playing for a little while and then I settle down and enjoy the time with everyone. Of course, if you want to play, I'm always up for some fun! If I do get a little too playful, a simple vocal reminder is all I need. I'm a really good boy who wants to please, so if you would like to train me, us Australian Cattle Dogs are super smart and can learn all sorts of things, even tricks!
