It may be the height of summer, but that isn't stopping golfers from playing (and loving) a lot of golf in Arlington. Tierra Verde Golf Club was recently ranked No. 5 nationally on Golf Advisor's Weekly Power rankings.
The ranking was determined by the sum of the average rating of all seven categories (overall rating, value for money, pace of play, staff friendliness, F&B, course conditions and condition of overall facilities) on GolfAdvisor.com to find out which golf courses offered the best overall experience. This is a ranking calculated from individual survey responses of recent customers.
Tierra Verde opened in 1998 and is carved from 250 acres of secluded terrain in southwest Arlington. The course's unsurpassed layout encompasses a variety of natural settings and offers an outstanding playing experience on every hole. Each hole has five sets of tees, sculpted fairways, strategically placed sand bunkers and water hazards - all accented by stately trees and beautiful native grasses.
The facility also features a state-of-the-art indoor golf learning center for year-round practice during inclement and cold-weather conditions and a lighted driving range. Ventana Grille, a full-service restaurant in the Tierra Verde clubhouse, is open daily from 6:30 a.m.-9 p.m., and features Avid Golfers' "Best Burrito" in DFW.
