This Weekend's Concerts at Levitt Pavilion

The Levitt Pavilion's 2013 Texas Power Fall Concert continues this week with several great artists:

Friday: Soul Track Mind - Resurrecting the groove of vintage soul. Saturday:

Saturday: Foreigner - Classic rock's "Juke Box Heroes" headline Saturday's benefit concert at 7:30 p.m. Tickets required for this event. Gates open at 7 p.m.

Kennedale native Lannie Flowers takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Foreigner performs at 9 p.m. No chairs, coolers or pets for this concert only. Proceeds from the Foreigner concert will help benefit more than 50 free concerts at the Levitt Pavilion.

There is no concert on Sunday, September 15.

W,A,T.E.R. Festival (Water Awareness Through Education and Recreation)

Celebrate the wonderful resource of water with a variety of family-friendly activities, crafts and demonstrations at the water science fair at River Legacy Living Science Center. This free event runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The Women of Baseball

Did you know the first all-female baseball team was created in 1866? Check out the Arlington Museum of Art's latest exhibit, Women of Baseball, a retrospective of women's participation in America's past time. See how some played professionally alongside men in the male dominated sport.

Tickets - Admission to the exhibit is $8 for adults; $5 for students and seniors (over 65); free to members and children under 12 with an adult.

Youth Education Town: 30 for 30

Inspired by ESPN's 30 for 30 film series, the North Texas YET in Arlington is presenting 30 events for 30 days. While ESPN used feature filmmakers to recount great moments in sports history, the YET is leveraging its staff to reveal some of the amazing opportunities afforded to the public in its brand new facility.

Oakland A's vs. Texas Rangers

Watch the Texas Rangers play a critical three-game series at home against rival Oakland. Both teams are fighting for the American League West pennant and home field advantage in the playoffs. The opening game is Friday at 7:05 p.m.; Saturday's first pitch is 12:05 p.m.; and Sunday's game starts at 2:05 p.m. Single game tickets are still available.
