You can head over to Fox & Hound Sports Tavern for a professional comedy show featuring Las Vegas Headliner Patrick DeGuire (from NBC, Comedy Central, & HBO). After the show, patrons are invited to stick around for a New Year's Eve party in Arlington that features two DJs, dancing, billiards, darts, a midnight champagne toast and more. Discounted admissions are available when you buy your tickets in advance. Arlington Improv Presents Bruce Bruce
At 7 p.m. & 10 p.m. on New Year's Eve, Arlington Improv presents comedian Bruce Bruce! The comedian's act has been showcased across the country and he has been entertaining audiences young and old from all walks of life for years. Ticket prices range from $40-60 and they can be purchased on the Arlington Improv website. Bruce Bruce will also perform this weekend, Jan. 2-4. On Friday, he will perform at 8 p.m. & 10:30 p.m. on Saturday at 7 p.m. & 9:30 p.m. and Sunday he will perform at 7:30 p.m. You must be 21 and over to attend this event.
79th Annual Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic
The No. 8 Michigan State Spartans will face the No. 5 Baylor Bears at 11:45 a.m. on New Year's Day at AT&T Stadium in a battle of top teams from the Big Ten and Big 12. This is the first time the Spartans (10-2) have played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, while the Bears (11-1) played there in November against Texas Tech in the Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Shootout. The game will be televised on ESPN. If you are going to the game, please check out the bag policy in effect for Thursday's game at AT&T Stadium.
NFL Playoffs Wild Card Round: Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys
Playoff football arrives in The American Dream City! The Dallas Cowboys (12-4) are back in the NFL Playoffs for the first time since 2009 and they face the Detroit Lions (11-5) in the Wild Card Round on Sunday, January 4. Kickoff is at 3:40 p.m. and the game will be televised on FOX. The NFC East Champions will host the game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. Tickets are sold out through the team's website, but you can still find some tickets through Ticketmaster's NFL Ticket Exchange. Go Cowboys!
