The City of Arlington continues to work hard in an effort to reduce and manage flood risk in our area. This is being accomplished through effective control of development, providing flood warnings and working with emergency responders to help people who are at risk.

One of the city's more recent developments- the Johnson Creek Watershed- is being studied to measure its ongoing effectiveness.

WHO:

The City of Arlington is hosting a public open house for the study of the Johnson Creek Watershed and its tributaries.

WHAT:

Learn more about the study and provide feedback on areas of flooding and erosion throughout the watershed. The study extends from the headwaters that originate near W. Arbrook Blvd. between S. Copper Street and Matlock Rd. and extend to the city limit line at SH360 between H and Avenue J. Click here for map of study area.
