Have you ever seen 500 preschoolers quietly sitting together, fully engaged during a 45-minute presentation? The Arlington Public Library has!

Earlier this month, the Arlington Public Library hosted more than 1,100 AISD preschool students and their families for a special visit from children's book author Will Hillenbrand. Hillenbrand entertained the students by demonstrating his illustrating style and reading books starring his beloved characters Bear and Mole.

The AISD buses picked up the excited preschoolers from school in the morning and afternoon to drive them to the event. After Hillenbrand's presentation, each student received a free, signed copy of Hilenbrand's book Off We Go!

During the evening session, families of AISD preschool students were invited to come enjoy Hillenbrand's presentation and take a photo with him. It was a very fun event for everyone and will hopefully inspire many of these young students to become authors and illustrators one day.
