AISD Youth Art Month at AMA

A variety of paintings, sculptures, drawings and other student artwork is on currently on display at the Arlington Museum of Art, 201 West Main Street. Students representing Martin High School and Bowie High School submitted their artistic creations for the annual AISD Youth Art Month. The current display runs through Sunday, March 16. The Super Sprowtz Invade Arlington

Don't miss Colby Carrot, Brian Broccoli and Erica Eggplant as they bring their fun, interactive Super Sprowtz tour to the Levitt Pavilion at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 9. Everyone is invited to the free, 45-minute interactive show as Roger and the Super Sprowtz lead the audience through super hero training camp featuring songs, dancing and games. Super Sprowtz is a children's entertainment movement to use the educational power of today's media to make learning about nutrition and wellness fun and help kids think about their food choices at an early age.

Let the Games Begin

Bring your spirit as the Movin' Mavs host the annual National Wheelchair Basketball Association National Championships at UT Arlington from March 7 and 8. While the men's team, the Movin' Mavs, begins its quest for an eighth national title, the women's team will try to win a national title after playing just one season. Friday's games are being played at the Maverick Activities Center and Saturday's championship will be played at College Park Center. Gene Watson and Jeannie Seely at Arlington Music Hall

Gene Watson returns to Arlington Music Hall on Saturday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m. He'll perform all of hits including "Farewell Party," "Fourteen Carat Mind," "Should I Come Home (Or Should I Go Crazy)," "Paper Rosie," and "Love In the Hot Afternoon."
