The annual Summer Reading Club is ready to fizz, boom, spark, and whir into action starting at the kickoff event on Saturday May 31 at the Arlington ISD Professional Development Center, 1111 W Arbrook Blvd.
When the doors open at 10:30 a.m., families will be welcomed in to pick up reading logs and a brochure with all the exciting SRC summer programs. While it will be easy to grab everything you need for the Summer Reading Club, the real focus of the day will be on fun for the whole family, getting everyone pumped up and excited about reading and participating in the many free summer programs the library offers.
Teens will be able to build and race robots at our robot racing station. Children from teens down to kindergarteners can take part in a number of fun and safe science experiments, guided by our staff and volunteers. In addition, families with toddlers and babies will have plenty of fun activities as well, including a play space with toys, blocks, tunnels and music.
The event will wind down by 12:00 noon.
