Arlington will experience the Brazilian steakhouse craze when Chamas do Brazil opens on July 21 at 4606 S. Cooper St.
Brazilian steakhouses are known for their all-you-can-eat style, tableside waiters, with a meat-heavy menu at one fixed price.
Chamas do Brazil features a wide variety of meats such as beef, pork, lamb and chicken slowly cooked and specially grilled to preserve its juices and flavors. It will also include a unique salad bar with over 50 different choices of vegetables, traditional side dishes, seafood, imported cheeses, and 150 domestic and traditional wines. At the table guest will be served fried bananas, mashed potatoes and warm cheese bread.
The waiters are known as "gauchos" who were handpicked from all over the country to guarantee the quality of the food. The gauchos dress in traditional gaucho pants, boots, maroon colored shirts and scarves. What sets Chamas do Brazil gauchos apart from others is the color of their scarves. Instead of the usual red or white, Texan gauchos will be wearing a blue scarf, the same color in the Texas flag.
Color coded cards are placed on the table to signal the gauchos to bring the guest more food or to let them know the guest are taking a break.
Chamas do Brazil will open for dinner seven days a week, and guest have the ability to make reservations for a few or up to 40 people in one of its private meeting rooms.
