Claire Sullivan was beaming as the Arlington Fire Department recognized her bravery. The six-year-old recently called 911 to save her grandmother's life.

"My Mimi! It's like she's dead," the six-year-old said in the heartfelt 911 call.

"What's your address, honey?" the dispatcher Lari Tillar asked in the 911 call.

Claire did not know her grandmothers' full address, so the dispatcher guided the young girl to search for clues in her surroundings.

"We got people coming to you hun, I want you to stay on the phone with me until somebody gets there with you," Tillar said in the 911 call.

For about 15 minutes Tillar kept Claire calm as first responders were able to track the call.

"Claire was awesome - she did most of the work. She kept me calm by her staying calm," Tillar said. "I couldn't have asked for a better call."

Claire and Tillar were honored with a life-saving award by the Arlington Fire Department.

"I didn't know what to do so I just thought about picking up the phone," Claire said.

Claire's father, Matt Sullivan, joined her on Tuesday to receive the award. He talked about how incredibly proud he is of his daughter.

"Words can't explain it. It's shocking to me just to hear the story and what she did. That's something that you cannot really prepare for in its entirety," Sullivan said. "What she did and the skills she showed are really amazing."

Claire's grandmother made a full recovery after having surgery to release fluid pressure in her brain. Claire said she is happy she was able to help her grandmother out, and acknowledged that she feels like a hero.
