Alabama, Oregon, Florida State and Ohio State are the four teams selected to participate in the inaugural College Football Playoff, leaving Baylor and TCU, Big 12 co-champs, on the outside looking in.
Here are the semifinal matchups: No. 1 Alabama will play No. 4 Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl and No. 2 Oregon will play No. 3 Florida State in the Rose Bowl, both on New Year's Day.
The semifinal winners will meet in the College Football Playoff National Championship on Jan. 12 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington: The American Dream City.
TCU will play Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl (Dec. 31). Arlington will host Baylor and Michigan State in the Cotton Bowl at AT&T Stadium (Jan. 1).
