Hello! My name is "Lana" and I am the Arlington Animal Services'chosen Dog of the Week! Things were pretty rough in my life prior to arriving at Arlington Animal Services. Unfortunately I cannot speak to humans, but if I could, I would have some stories to tell. I was lost in this big city and hurt my eye and I didn't know what I was going to do. But then a gracious donor offered to pay for my surgery. Employees and volunteers just adore me and "Dr. Carter" says I'm the best "Pittie" patient ever. People see my adorable face and sometimes feel sorry for me because I had to have my eye removed, but honestly it doesn't bother me at all. I can still play and run just like I did before! I really enjoy being with people, dogs and I even like older children. Although I like to play with toys, I would much rather nuzzle with you, crawl in your lap or just be loved and petted all over. But hey, who wouldn't right? Truthfully, a good belly rub is worth its weight in gold! Everyone here has been so good to me but "doc" said I'm ready for adoptions now, and need to find my forever home with a family who will love me as much as I love them. You can find me at the Arlington Animal Services'Center in kennel DA16. Be sure to give them my ID number A20580319 when you come to meet me!

Lana is a black and white Pit Bull Mix who is approximately one year old. She weighs 38 pounds and is expected to be a medium-sized dog. Lana's adoption fees include all core vaccinations, micro-chip, spay and 30 days free pet insurance. If your family is looking for a "diamond in the rough", be sure to come meet Lana today! This little girl is a real treasure and has won the hearts of our staff and volunteers alike. Lana's adoption fee is reduced to only $25!
