When the 12-member College Football Playoff selection committee meets Tuesday in Grapevine to evaluate and rank the top 25 teams, expect Alabama, Oregon and Florida State to claim the top three spots.
The fourth spot, however, is up for grabs.
After Mississippi State's loss on Saturday, the fourth spot should come down to TCU, Baylor and Ohio State. Is this the week TCU moves into the top 4?
The Horned Frogs made their case after beating Texas 48-10, so the team is in prime position to make the jump from #5.
The final set of rankings will be released Sunday, December 7. The four teams in the final rankings will play in the Playoff Semifinals on January 1, 2015 at the Rose Bowl presented by Northwestern Mutual and the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
Complete rankings can be found on the official website of the College Football Playoff at www.collegefootballplayoff.com.
The inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship game will be played Monday, January 12, 2015 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
