The City of Arlington Office of Emergency Management continues to monitor weather conditions across the city today. The National Weather Service reports that freezing drizzle/rain will be in Arlington until 6:00 p.m. tonight (Tuesday) with a possibility of snow. We may see around 1/10 of an inch of ice on roads in Arlington. While it is a small amount it can still cause treacherous road conditions.

AISD, Grand Prairie ISD and Mansfield ISD classes began at the regularly scheduled time today. UTA will open at 10:00 am.

• Current Conditions: The National Weather Service reports that temperatures will hover around 30 this morning. A couple of precipitation bands are west of Arlington and will be here within an hour. We have a 50% chance to see snow/sleet by mid-day. The high for today is 34.
• Weather Forecast: A chance of freezing rain and sleet before noon, then a chance of snow, freezing rain, and sleet. Cloudy, with a high near 33. North northeast wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. North wind around 5 mph.
