Do you have a Texas-sized work ethic? A new survey conducted by Movoto Real Estate shows Arlington is one of the hardest-working cities in America, snagging the No. 2 spot.

Researchers say they used data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and other sources to compile the current list. Movoto, which covers the "lighter side of real estate," looked at America's 50 most populous cities and ranked them in order of how hard their residents worked.

The research found the top 5 to be:

  1. Seattle, WA
  2. Arlington, TX
  3. Fort Worth, TX
  4. Austin, TX
  5. San Jose, CA

Factors also included average hours worked per week, unemployment rate, employed workers per hour and lack of sleep. Five cities in Texas (Arlington, Fort Worth, Austin, Dallas and Houston) and two in California (San Jose and San Francisco) also made the top 10. Coming in at No. 50? Memphis, Tenn.
