Movies in the Park - Frankenweenie
Looking for an affordable family outing for an upcoming Friday night? Look no further. The City of Arlington Parks and Recreation Department and the Arlington Southwest Little League will show the movie Frankenweenie at the Martin Luther King Jr Sports Center. The movie will begin at dusk (around 8 pm) on a movie screen that will be set up just north of the playground. Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy the great outdoors with the kids. Refreshments will be available at the concession stand within the park. All concession sales benefit Arlington Southwest Little League.

Watch a documentary about teams from all over the world competing to develop equipment that will enable us to stay on the moon longer.Shows are 6:00 p.m. on Friday and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for seniors, children and students, $3 for UTA students
2014 Walk to Cure Arthritis North Texas @ GlobeLife Park
Take a walk for a good cause, walk to cure arthritis. Walk to help end a disease that costs our state 1% of its gross domestic product. The event features a three-mile and one-mile course, with arthritis information and activities for the entire family. Pet owners are encouraged to bring their dogs. Help raise funds to find a cure for arthritis, then come together to support each other and walk.

Participants raise money by asking family and friends to sponsor their participation. All proceeds from the Kid's Cancer Buzz-Off support vital programs and services that are helping to ease the physical, emotional and financial toll of pediatric cancer on patients and their families.
