Bowen Road has completely reopened and returned to routine traffic.

Here is the latest on the water leak repair on South Bowen Road (as of Friday, May 23 at 11:30 a.m.):

According to the Water Utilities Department, crews finished backfilling and compaction Thursday night. At the moment, the one lane north and one lane south will remain open.

Beginning this morning, the concrete contractor began saw cutting and forming for placing concrete on the repairs of the road later today. The high yield concrete material will allow us to remove forms on Saturday and/or Sunday. The road should be opened completely by the morning of Tuesday, May 27.

If there is a chance the City of Arlington can open the lanes completely on Monday, May 26 by noon, we will do so
