On Tuesday, Nov. 11, the City of Arlington will join the Arlington Great Southwest Arlington Rotary Club as they present a very special observance honoring the duty, sacrifice and service of U.S. veterans of all wars at Veterans Park, 3600 West Arkansas Lane.
The program, which features a special tribute to Korean war veterans, is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
Tarrant County Criminal Court Judge Brent Carr, accompanied by the Cowtown Music Club, will perform special patriotic music. Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck will be in attendance to read a special a Veterans Day proclamation.
Major General James L. Williams, USMC (Ret.), who served in the military for more than 35 years in Asia, Europe, Central and South America, Middle East and Africa, will be the speaker. He commanded Marines at every level in and out of combat.
A complimentary luncheon will be served immediately following the ceremony at the park pavilion.
