Three University of Texas at Arlington kinesiology faculty members will be honored for their work in the field of athletic training at the June meeting of the National Athletic Trainers" Association.
Paul Krawietz and two other UT Arlington kinesiology department faculty have earned national honors.
Cynthia Trowbridge, an associate professor, is one 16 athletic trainers nationwide selected to receive the Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award. Paul Krawietz, clinical assistant professor, is one of of 54 selected for the Athletic Trainer Service Award and Louise Fincher, chair of the kinesiology department at UT Arlington, will receive the Gail Weldon Award of Excellence.
"That three athletic training professionals from UTA are receiving awards speaks to the environment that has been created there," said Kathy Dieringer, a member of the NATA board of directors who represents Texas and Arkansas. "I am proud to call these award winners professional colleagues and friends, and UTA is fortunate to have them. They are outstanding examples of how important it is to give back to your profession through service and leadership."
