Dexter is a gentleman in every sense of the word. Sweet and loving, Dexter worked his way into the hearts of everyone at Arlington Animal Services which is why we chose him as our featured Cat of the week. Playful and fun, Dexter loves his toys, his favorite are strings and pom-pom balls. This little guy is quite curious and can be a little "ham" when he knows people are watching. Dexter is very social and everyone who walks by him is instantly a "new friend he hasn't yet met". Dexter has a silly side to him, however he is very lovable and loves to give "head-bumps" and make biscuits for you when you hold him. As any kitty can tell you, a good ear massage and body rub are a way to win their hearts, however; Dexter is quite willing to return the favor with a gentle body rub and soft "kiss" on your hand. This handsome guy is a Domestic Short Hair Black and White Bi-Color mix and weighs approximately 9.40 pounds. Dexter is estimated to be around nine months old and is considered a medium sized kitty. An owner surrender due to a family member who was allergic to cats, this young guy was previously in a home with young children and dogs. Properly introduced, we believe that Dexter would do well in his new forever home with or without other pets, and/or children.
