The City of Arlington is announcing several staffing changes and hires. At the end of 2013, two of the City's long tenured department directors retired, CFO April Nixon and Parks and Recreation Director Pete Jamieson. City Manager Trey Yelverton commended Nixon and Jamieson's service, saying, "Both April and Pete made significant contributions to the organization and their expertise will be missed." In their place, the City has hired and promoted new team members.

Lemuel Randolph will be the new Director of Parks and Recreation. Randolph comes to Arlington from McKinney where he served as the Director of Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces. With a total of 20 years of experience directing municipal parks and recreation departments, Randolph has also worked for the cities of Missouri City, Sugar Land and San Bernardino. His first day with Arlington will be February 3.

The Financial and Management Resources Department has been reorganized into two parts - Finance and Management Resources. Jennifer Wichmann, former Assistant Director of Management Resources, will now serve as Director of Management Resources which includes Legislative Affairs, the Action Center, the Office of Communication, Knowledge Services, Office of Mayor and Council, and Office of the City Manager. The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation has also been added to Wichmann's responsibilities. She has been with the organization for ten years, in progressively responsible roles.

Mike Finley, former Budget Director, is now the Director of Finance. Finley has been with Arlington for a total of 17 years and his department now includes the Office of Management and Budget, Treasury, Accounting, Purchasing and Payroll.

Filling Finley's position as Assistant Director of Fiscal Policy will be Erin Roseman. She most recently served as Cash and Debt Administrator and has been with the organization for just under six years, also working in the Office of Management and Budget. Prior to coming to Arlington, Roseman worked for the City of Fort Worth in its Budget Office.

Yelverton said, "We are excited to welcome each one of these employees into their new roles with the organization."
