General Motors announced today that they will be adding a third shift to the Arlington Assembly plant. This latest move by G.M. will generate an estimated 800 jobs and enable the Arlington plant to meet market demands for its award-winning line of SUVs, which include the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade.
Upon hearing the news, Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck stated, "I believe that 800 new jobs coming to Arlington is a godsend. It is good for the City and it is good for G.M."
