Lane closures on SH 360 and Frontage Road prior to opening
WHERE: Southbound State Highway 360 in Arlington from Randol Mill Road to Abram Street
WHEN: Saturday, March 17, approx. 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weather permitting
WHAT: The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will open the new continuous SH 360 southbound frontage road between Randol Mill Road and Abram Street this Saturday, weather permitting, removing the previous discontinuous bottleneck. The northbound frontage road was open to traffic in January.
In preparation for the frontage road opening, the SH 360 southbound main lanes will be reduced to one lane from Lamar Blvd. to Abram Street from approx. 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. In addition, the frontage road and exit ramp at SH 180/Division Street will be closed. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes. Crews will work their way south picking up the lane closures as they progress, moving concrete barrier, striping and placing overhead signs.
Once the southbound frontage road opens on Saturday, ramp access changes temporarily until the new southbound SH 360 entrance ramp from SH 180/Division Street opens this summer. (see attached map) Construction on the SH 360 main lanes will also continue until the project's completion this summer.
This construction is part of the $56 million project that is reconstructing the Division Street bridge and the railroad bridge. For up-to-date project information, current road closures and to sign-up for e-mail alerts on construction activity, log on to www.keep360moving.org
