City of Arlington employees were at the phones for 23 A Su Lado Wednesday March 7 at the Univision studios in downtown Dallas. 23 A Su Lado is a community outreach program sponsored by Univision which allows viewers to call in and ask questions on a variety of topics.
Five bilingual City employees, representing various departments, addressed calls ranging from recycling to the municipal court during a live on-air call center.
A representative of the Arlington Action Center, Victor Pizarro, also spoke on-air about the types of resources available to Arlington residents. He noted a variety of resources that are available to Spanish speaking citizens, such as the automatic translation link on the City's website and the opportunity of speaking with a bilingual agent at the Action Center.
