Have you finished your Christmas shopping? If not, two Arlington icons are offering City employees an opportunity to find some last-minute gifts.

The Arlington Museum of Art and Downtown Arlington Farmer's Market have joined forces to host "Festive Fridays" for municipal workers on Friday, Dec. 13 & 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the museum.

City of Arlington employees can enjoy free admission to the museum, where they can check out the Festival of Trees and Santa Claus exhibits and shop with vendors offering their wares for the Christmas season.

Downtown Arlington Farmers Market is hosting its Fiber Festival, featuring spinners, weavers, crochet, knitting, sewing, tatting and jewelry making artisans.

"Although the Downtown Arlington Farmers Market already had its Fiber Festival planned, I called to encourage a seamless collaboration on this festive event," said Chris Hightower, executive director of the museum.

Arlington Museum of Art is located at 201 W. Main Street. For more information, call 817-275-4600 or visit
