The Arlington Police Department Awards Ceremony at the Arlington Convention Center on Feb. 24 was a tribute to service excellence.
This event was sponsored by the Arlington Police Foundation and the John V. and Jeri McMillan Memorial Fund.
Awards were presented to those whose exemplary service contributed to the overall success of the Arlington Police Department in 2015.
Two community awards were presented along with honors for Detective of the Year, Supervisor of the Year and Officer of the Year awards from each police district. Awards were also bestowed on civilian or professional staff employees.
This year's emcee was Fox 4 News Anchor Steve Eager. Close to 650 were in attendance. The ceremony also featured the award-winning APD Honor Guard and singing of the National Anthem by Officer Peter Hughes.
In a special report during the ceremony, Police Chief Will Johnson presented some of the department's most notable accomplishments from 2015.

- Professional Employee of the Year/Exempt or Technical - Chris Womack
- Rookie Officer of the Year - Officer Michael Dosser
- East District Officer of the Year - Corporal Leonard Ray
- North District Officer of the Year - Allison Allen
- South District Officer of the Year - Brad Ortiz
- West District Officer of the Year - Charles Cisneros
- Overall Employee of the Year - Detective Mike Weaver
- Supervisor of the Year - Sergeant Greg Waldron
