The Texas Education Agency's (TEA) 2018 accountability ratings are now available.
The new rating system, passed by state legislature in 2015, requires the TEA to give each public school and each district an A through F (A-F) letter grade, similar to a child's report card.
Mansfield ISD has earned an "A" rating.
The overall rating is based on performance in three different areas: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps.
"This accomplishment is a strong testament to the hard work and dedication of all of our educators, students and parents," said Superintendent Dr. Jim Vaszauskas. "The Mansfield ISD community has a heart for putting students first, cultivating authentic relationships with them and making sure parents play an active role in the educational process."
Mansfield ISD students have consistently outperformed state averages in the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) exams, and MISD is among the top-scoring districts when comparing STAAR results with surrounding and comparison districts.
More information about the accountability ratings is available on the TEA website.
