Join the Arlington Historical Society and the Arlington Public Library on May 18 to salute local heroes on Armed Forces Day. Enjoy an an afternoon of lectures and military exhibits at the George W. Hawkes Central Library, 101 E. Abram Street.
A special highlight is the unveiling of Arlington's new World War II digital archives collection and a museum display case featuring items from the Arlington Historical Society's World War II collection.

In addition to the digital collection and the museum case, view exhibits of military history from UTA Library and the Arlington High School ROTC. The Historic Military Vehicle Preservation Society will also participate with vehicles from the World War II era.
