A beautiful clear night greeted parade-goers for the annual Arlington Holiday Lights Parade in Downtown on Saturday, December 5, 2015.
An enthusiastic crowd of more than 12-thousand were estimated to be lining the streets to watch the 100 entries in this year' s parade.
Volunteers organize the parade and it has drawn bigger and bigger crowds since it began in 2002. At the same time, the activities adjacent to parade time have also expanded.
This year, concerts began at 2 p.m. before the parade, with step-off at 6 p.m. Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams, with the help of Santa, lit the tree in front of City Hall at 7 p.m.
Many families then remained at the Levitt Pavilion for pictures with Santa, and to watch The Muppets Christmas Carol on the new big screen.
