Tom Mulkerin has been volunteering with the City of Arlington for over 20 years. He started his journey with our city by completing the Arlington Citizen Police academy in 1994. After graduating from this community program Tom joined the Arlington Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association to give back to his city and community.
Over these twenty years Tom has volunteered in a multitude of roles for Arlington. His fundraising efforts with the CPA Alumni Association include the police memorial fund, trader's village, fire house subs, annual alumni auctions, and annual Fry's electronics hotdog fundraiser. All the funds raised were donated back to the police department to help create even more value to the community we serve. One of Tom's true passions in life comes from volunteering with the Arlington Santa Cops program. He started helping with this program in 1994 his passion for this program continues to grow every year.
Since 2012 Tom Mulkerin has volunteered over 900 hours to the City of Arlington. Mr. Mulkerin's volunteer hours include Data entry, various forms office assistance, CCTV for Six Flags over Texas and the Levitt Pavilion, the Citizens on Patrol Mobile program, Communities Against Crime 5K Run, safety fair, Sky Watch Tower program, safety child fingerprinting, Police Appreciation Week, Burglary Motor Vehicle report card surveys, South districts Trunk or Treat events, recruit scenario training, South Districts back to school event, National Night Out, and our Community Watch Group program.
Tom shares his volunteer experience monthly with Many North Texas cities through his involvement with the Police Academy Alumni Association of North Texas. Through this engagement Tom is able to shape and mentor younger volunteers across the Metroplex to spread his passion for giving and creating a special legacy for the community and city he serves.
