Via is rolling out an entirely new way to pay for rides in The American Dream City.
With a weekly ViaPass, customers using the on-demand rideshare service in Arlington can book rides for an entire week for one super low flat-rate fee. The first 200 customers can purchase a ViaPass for just $10.
The City of Arlington's pilot program with Via is designed to provide affordable transportation to key areas of Arlington, allowing riders to access entertainment, shopping and dining options, work or school, and even medical appointments.
Customers can book a seat in a six-passenger Mercedes-Benz van through the Via app, and Via's sophisticated technology will match them with others going their way. Without the ViaPass, rides are $3 per person, per trip.
Via is available Monday through Saturday, with service hours now running from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays.
